Few questions about the Instagram method...

Hi all,

So I'm quite new to the whole internet marketing world (However I'm a long time BHW reader). But I have a few spare dollars and I thought I'd challenge myself to give it a shot.

Now I know this method was posted a few years ago. So taking into consideration how much Instagram has changed since then, I've tried to adapt a little. But I have a few questions.

What I've done so far...

  • Signed up for oGads (and have been approved).
  • Purchased 5 aged Instagram accounts (9+ months) with non-PVA. This will be enough to start me off. If the method starts to grow, I'll buy more later.

What I'm about to do...

  • Purchase 5 proxies, 1 for each account.
  • Purchase a Jarvee subscription to automate everything on Instagram. (Unless someone else can recommend an alternative that's cheaper).

Okay so...

I have received the 5 Instagram accounts in a text document. My first question (and probably the most important).. I want to login and obviously alter the profiles for each account according to my niche. Now when it comes to doing the method, I'll be using the proxies within Jarvee. But for now I want to know if its safe to login to all 5 accounts, from my web browser, all under the same IP address? I have a dynamic IP address with my ISP so I'm tossing up if I need to: login to one account, edit profile, logout, change IP address, login to new account and repeat.

My second question is in regards to the niche. Should I stick to 1 niche throughout all 5 accounts or mix it up? So lets use an iPhone Giveaway (as an example). Should I request an iPhone landing page within oGads and use the same landing page link on all 5 accounts? Or should I pick 5 different niches, 5 different landing pages and mix it up throughout the accounts?

EDIT: I just found out there is an alternative to Jarvee called GMT2 and its $10 cheaper (per month). What do you guys recommend for someone starting out? Go the cheaper option or dive straight into Jarvee? -- I don't need a VPS because my PC is on 24/7 anyways...

In regards to the second question i would probably try mixing up the niches and seeing which is the most responsive.
 
Hey & Welcome to the party, Let's answer your questions:
  1. Login and editing accounts manually using the same IP (or even IP pool), on the same browser can flag all of your accounts in no time, so you have to get the proxies first and be aware that you're mixing proxies (at your scale I think you can mix 2 different providers to see which works better, but If you have a bit of money, It's better to buy some residential proxies and stay off-radar)
    About the profiling, you have to at least clear cookies each time and to be even more off-radar, you can also use Google Chrome's responsive testing feature inside the Inspector (Make sure you're not using the same device for each account) and USE PROXIES for profiling.
  2. It completely depends on how much time and effort you've put to find a profitable niche/niches, for example, If you find a niche very profitable why not over-saturate it?!
  3. About the landing pages, If you're not going to F/U from the same source for each account, there should be no problem to use a landing page across all of your accounts, but make sure that you're changing texts and HTML structure a bit.
  4. And for the domains, DO NOT USE A DOMAIN OR A BIO LINK across multiple accounts.
Finally, for the bot that you're going to use, I've tested both Jarvee and GMT2. GMT2 is good, but as you can see the price tag says that It works better for smaller scales and it's more newcomer friendly, On the other hand, Jarvee has more advanced features and is more likely to help you when you've passed this phase.

So I'm quite new to proxies and I don't know entirely what they do, aside from give you a different IP and mask your location. But when it comes to the specific "advanced" features, I'm not quite sure and it can get confusing for me. I was thinking about getting my proxies from "Highproxy". I think they do 5 (or 10, I cant remember) for about $15pm. But before I purchase the proxies (to save time) I have a follow up question... I currently have a paid VPN service (that I use for other things). Would it be okay to use the VPN, to login and profile the accounts? (Obviously a different server within the VPN per account).

Also instead of clearing cookies and cache, couldn't I just use the incognito browser within Chrome?

Do you mean, don't use the SAME domain or bio link across multiple accounts? -- I was thinking about using a different bit.ly link on every account.

So for me, someone who is just starting out, would it be okay to start with GMT2 and maybe move up the ranks to Jarvee later on in the future? I mean I probably don't need all the advanced features just yet, right? I just need something basic to kick start my campaign.
 
  1. You can use the paid VPN, but You have to make sure about the IP quality and whether It provides high anonymity or not. (You can check it by typing what's my IP in Google, If it showed your real country then using it will cause a permanent ban). About the provider you've mentioned, I really don't know them but I mention @proxified for further help.
  2. There is a possibility for a website to recognize you when you close and reopen the incognito window.
    As a full-time web developer, I really don't know how, but when you visit Outlook's registration page inside an incognito tab. After registration even if you close the incognito window and change your IP address, they sometimes recognize your browser and autocomplete the country selection when you try to register again.
    So close the browser window after you're done profiling an account.
  3. Instagram follows most of the URL shorteners and Bitly is one of them, you can simply purchase some domain or if you want to mass spam their network you can even go with a batch of Freenom domains (They usually don't convert well)
  4. Yes, GMT2 is OK, but be aware, that you have to randomize setting for each account & Finally, don't forget to warm them up before adding profile link or doing mass F/U

I just checked and whenever I connect to a server within the paid VPN, Google shows a different IP (to my real one) and a different country. I live in Australia so I'd make sure that all the VPN servers I use are from different countries.

So as long as I close the entire browser window and re-open Chrome (freshly) each time. Using incognito mode should be fine?

Best way to warm them up would be to login, edit the profile, wait a few days and then add the links?
 
  1. Ok, It seems that the VPN has high anonymity, but it doesn't mean that the IPs are clean, try checking the spam DBs.
    BTW, When you log in to an account by a country try to stick to that location to prevent your accounts from getting flagged, so having a list of username, proxy/proxy country (if you don't want to buy any proxies) would be fine.
  2. You can make it even better by using a device from the responsive test feature inside the Chrome.

    Instagram follows profile link, so It's better to host the landing page inside a server or something, there are a lot of free hostings out there.
    If you bought a domain and want to host all of the domains at the same location try using CloudFlare to hide the server IP and prevent your accounts getting banned.
  4. You have to profile them then start interacting with the platform (for example, 30 follows a day, 50-60 likes, some comments*) for about a week then slowly increasing the values (about 10 per day), after the second week you can add the link with less potential of getting flagged

I might just scrap the VPN idea and purchase the proxies. Seems like it will be less hassle. Then I can just use the same proxy per account, throughout the whole method.

I looked around and I cant find that feature on Chrome. Do I have to install an extension?

As someone who is also a website developer, I do know quite a bit about hosting etc.. So this is right up my ally. But I don't really know of any good free hosts these days. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is x10hosting -- But I feel like they don't cope well with large volumes of traffic. Could you please recommend one? Also should I sign up with Cloudflare and give each domain a free SSL to make it look more legit? or not worry?

Right so I think I have a decent understanding now. I'll try and summarize it all up.

I'll buy the 5 proxies, 1 proxy per Instagram account (to start with). I'll record in notepad which proxy I've used for each account to keep track and to make sure I don't mix them up. Then I'll use some proxy software on my PC to run 1 proxy at a time.

Once a proxy is running I'll use incognito mode and the responsive feature (in Chrome) to profile the accounts. Then over the next few days I'll grow the accounts and interact using the platform (like you suggested above).

Also during this time I'll purchase 5 domains and setup 5 hosting accounts on x10hosting. I will host each landing page (maybe also put in some Google analytics, so I can track visitors). I'll then setup a free Cloudflare account for each hosting account and link the 5 domains.

Once a few days have passed and the accounts are used. I'll link the domains into the bio.

How does this sound?
 
It sounds pretty solid.
BTW, If you want to add Google Analytics, try implementing events they're nice to have when it comes to CPA.

You don't need to buy 5 separate domains. You can point 5 accounts to the same url safely. To mask using the same url in each bio, just use a different shortener url in each bio. Redirects and shortners don't cloak the url, but just so you don't have the same text repeated in the bio, you can shorten the url 4 times. So you'll have the domain in 1 acc, and 4 different shorteners pointing to the same domain in the others. You can just put the actual domain in each one if you want to skip the shortener part, but you can't go over 5. I use this myself with all my domains and accs, and have been for years. Just don't cross the 5 acc threshold.

Alright so update...

  • I purchased 5 dedicated proxies from buyproxies.org. 1 for each of my 5 Instagram accounts.

The reason I decided to go with BuyProxies was because they provided a Google Chrome extension that: deletes cookies, cache, history etc.. It also randomly changes the user-agent. Overall it just made the process much easier and quicker. (Especially when switching proxies).

  • I logged in to each account (1 per proxy). Each time I logged out of an Instagram account, I switched proxy and deleted all browser traces. I made sure nothing was left behind. I was VERY careful.
  • I profiled each account, uploaded a profile pic (I made the pictures myself in Photoshop) and I made sure I did NOT add the link yet. I only filled out the bio.
  • I followed about 30 people on each account (within my niche) and also liked a few comments and posts.
One strange thing I noticed was that I couldn't comment. Every time I tried to comment it would say something like "Can do this right now, retry?" (not exactly those words). It was doing that even before I altered any of the accounts I brought. But I guess as long as I can follow, be followed, like comments and posts... I should be fine.

Now I have to be patient I guess...

About the comment problem, can you check your IP spam score!? and Are they from the same datacenter!?
If so, consider changing proxy provider or mix some two providers to find the one working better.
It can also be the account problem, which I don't think it would be.
Just do your research and be a bit more off-radar to prevent your accounts from getting flagged.

The proxies you're using are flagged. Someone possibly used them in the past for comment spamming and abused them.
