    Hello guys,

Lately, I've been toying with an idea and would like to get some feedback from those of you who monetize their sites with Amazon Associates.

The idea: providing an integrated solution type of service that makes Amazon sites multilingual (in this case, it would be adding Spanish as the additional language option).

The details: the service would consist on translating all the content into Spanish, keyword research to target the equivalent terms into Spanish, selecting the equivalent products, and possibly the tech aspect of making a site multilingual (although there are many plugins that can do that job if the site is in WordPress.

Selling points of the service: Spanish is the third most spoken language in the world, and even though Amazon has affiliate programs in only 2 Spanish speaking countries (Spain and Mexico), they are making moves in Latin America (which is almost 100% Spanish speaking). This means there's an enormous growth potential if Amazon lands on Latin America and adds affiliate programs there as well.

This is something that I already sort of do for my own sites and for a few of my clients. In the latter case though, it has been more specific requests (some want just the keyword research, some want just the content, etc) and not an integrated solution like this one I propose here.

Any comments or ideas? Any weakness on my hypothesis (Selling points of the service)?Would this be something that would gather some interest?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Andres,

I just created an account to answer this lol

So, I had a very similar idea. I'm from Germany hence in my case it would be German. This year when I went to Chiang Mai and bounced the idea off with some other authority site owners. Since I proposed a profit share (of the additional profit) the most common concern was, if it wouldn't be possible to get the same result (a german version of their site) just by outsourcing different parts of the work on upwork etc.

However, I think that would be very challenging since you have no way to validate keyword research and e.g. analyze search intent or doing competition analysis yourself...

But I didn't pursue this idea / possible business any further since I am quite occupied with my own projects, but I do think that it can be an interesting business on a profit-share basis. Especially the SEO power you could gain with hreflang-tags from the main english site should be insanely useful in lower-comp markets like Spanish oder German.

When I do have some free time I'll do some cold email writing and postings in facebook groups . Maybe I can find someone to test out this kind of service. I could image it to be a business which is easy to scale.

Since we are in the bhw forum I should also mention that you obviously could just take all the content / site structure of a good english website, translate it into Spanish (while rephrasing and restructuring every post) and take 100% of the profit yourself. You would just need to do link building yourself as well, but this can significantly decrease content costs while you ensure that your writers deliver good quality. – Not saying I've done it before.

    Best,
    Max
