Hi,
I would like to know if any sweepstakes offers (like Iphone X giveaways) worked or are working for you?
What traffic would you target ? Google? Bing? Social Media ?

Thanks in advance !

Even I Would like to know!

Anyone here who could share??

Thanks

Yes, giveaways work well for social sharing. With my company, we allow entries into the giveaway using youtube subscribes, comments, likes, facebook page likes and shares, twitter following and shares, google+ follows and joining discord server. We announce the winners at the end via facebook live. We've found that users are much more likely to enter the giveaway again the next month if they see the reward and selection process is legit. Not to mention you get more socials from the announcement aswell.

Summary - Yes, it works for our users who may not want / be able to buy the product but want a chance to earn it free.

Indeed, we launched a sweepstakes offer (as I said Iphone X giveaway) and it works super well. We decided that unless we try, we won't know if it works ! And yep, sharing on social media helps a lot !

That's going vary completely, it's based off of your company, initial amount of subscribers, what you're giving away, etc. iPhone cost can be anywhere from $200-$1200 just depending on what you're giving away. Doesn't have to be an iPhone, it can be a new computer, tablet, giftcards, etc. People LOVE free stuff and will do a lot for a chance to win it.

Yeah, I know that is going to vary but I am just interested in what numbers the OP produced.. just out of curiosity.

This is really great! Inshould give this a shot on my shopify store.

However, what I intended to ask was if running sweepstakes affiliate offers can be done? Like through social media, google, bing etc.

Sorry, should have mentioned it clearly.

Thanks for sharing the insight though :)

Did you run any ads for it? Like on FB/Insta ? If yes, then did you share a link to your offer?

My affiliates did run it. They tried social media posts, fan pages promotion, and pops on different sites

Oh okay! I thought you meant specifically what could you expect from it. I am curious as well as giveaways are always successful.

Because people love free gifts

I just started running my own giveway (contest) with multiple prizes ($35 +/- range). Get a lot of traffic and engagement from India, but very little traction in US....

How do you promote ?

I am using facebook ads, but do you have any other suggestions?

If you use facebook ads then this seems like a wrong targeting.. you can always chose the area where to promote and I don't think when you promote to america that they have a lot of indian friends :D

I wasn't clear enough in my last message my bad!

When I target US audience, I don't get Indian traffic. I get American traffic. But my cost per click is 15-20 cents (avg). While my cost per click for IN audience is 2-3 cents. So, I curious whether it is even possible to achieve lower CPC for US geo?

I don't know if it's possible to get lower for US traffic but 15-20 cents/click is pretty darn cheap imo for targeted traffic. I am running a campaign with VERY broad audience in a Baltic country and here the click costs around 1€.. and when I mean broad then I mean really broad - basically everybody who lives in this country are being targeted.
