lol 5% of the population is nothing. They don't need to call in the military at all, just freeze the personal banking accounts of all 5% along with stopping them from leaving the state or country with a blanket ban on their passports.

It's really simple these days in a digital age to track and reclaim. The gov't has tons of tools and rounding up 5% isn't that hard. The biggest thing to note is that 5% of the country doesn't pay it's taxes - the gov't doesn't care.

They usually only go after delinquent tax payers - ppl who make enough cash to warrant going after. If you're making minimum wage or below and you're not reporting it- chances are good that they're not goign to after you because the money they would get even with penalties is too low and probably less than what it would take to go after you.

As an outsider to "corporate media", I laugh at people's attempts to try and say "Media rules all" or "Goverment is brain washing everyone". Over here, we have people who don't give two shits about America, We can say what we want. And yet we still see the mass graves, we stiIll see the torture pits. Is that something that the New Zealand goverment is telling me? They are intercepting the live transmission from Iraq and inserting these images? What are you trying to deny? That Saddam Hussein wasn't killing thousands of innocent people? For absolutely no reason at all? And usually the comeback for that is that "America is killing innocents in Iraq etc". Well ok, But regardless of that, Regardless of some tin hat BS, Isn't Saddam Hussein removed from power a good thing? Are you saying that it is complete bs that we got rid of him?

Not sure what argument is going on here, I just wanted to chime in and say that most peoples argument with the war in Iraq is not the actual war happening right now, but rather the reason the war was started in the first place.

Since we're there, I think it's great that we got rid of Saddam and I don't think anyone would argue that.

and to get the thread back on topic, I know paying income taxes sucks but it's not entirely bad. we just need a 1000% more efficient method of collecting and spending taxes.

Also, I never met a person i didn't like that lives in New Zealand. Sounds peaceful.
 
I agree. I'm alright with paying taxes...because when it comes down to it... just remember when you dial 911 or anything like that it's money well spent.

The only intelligent post in the thread. I've been there too and you're right. Most don't know there are two branches of the IRS - civil and criminal. You can reason with the civil branch and work out payments. If the CID (criminal division) come calling your money isn't worth shit. They don't care about money and their goal is to see you do time in Federal Prison. They want to convict you of a crime - not settle a debt.

These online lawyers and libertarians have been spouting this BS for years. There are a number of them in jail now because they believed this nonsense. I've set in many meetings with IRS CID Agents and my $450 an hour Attorney and we weren't there because all this Federal Tax is optional.

Pay your taxes and keep them current or you'll find out quick how your Federal Government works. You have no rights in this Country, you have privileges and Uncle Sam's Agents can revoke those privileges at any time. If you don't believe me then Google Japanese Americans 1942.

Pray you never see a CID Agent at your door. They don't give a rat's ass about your Internet research and would love to use you to get that next career promotion.
 
Those checkes to the feds are only going to get bigger under Obama. I hate gov't period, but there is a tax storm on its way. i believe we have to pay taxes for nice roads, schools, defense, etc.., but there is far too much waste. We shouldn't be paying any more than 10 - 15% in fed taxes. Its getting to the tipping point.

The ONLY way to get out of this mess is with a Fair Tax, which you pay when you purchase anything. Then everyone who is not paying taxes will have to pay taxes and alleviate the burden on the 50% who do pay taxes and carry the other 50%. Then, you don't have administrative headaches, deadlines, IRS police, no property taxes, etc.. You could cut the IRS in half and save a ton of taxpayer money. Its easy to implement by just piggybacking on the current sales tax system.

I'm getting ready to incorporate and cut my taxes at least in half with all the new deductions.

its all about being creative....just like in internet marketing. use your blackhat skills on the government.

yeah...it is as voluntary as death...use the loopholes and pay the i.r.s. They have a well known policy about going after those who cannot afford the mountain of legal fees and such that they will cost you...and guess who is going to enforce the obama health care laws...the i.r.s.

Not having to pay US taxes is real simple guys. MOVE out of the US and renounce your citizenship BEFORE you have tax problems so they don't pull the your just renouncing to get outa paying taxes card.

When I get to the point where I am seriously sick of being fucked in the ass by this country and have no reason to stay anymore that's my plan.
