FB Pixel, Optimization & Cloaking

Hey BHW,

Is it safe to use a pixel on a cloaked campaign for optimizations? Cloaker is config w/o a redirect and I'm really just focused on increasing my CTR on the lander.

If it's not how do I go about optimizing my campaign. Relavancy score is high, CPC is low, but no one is clicking through to the sale page.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Basically the pixel is firing information back to FB. So if you cloak the destination site then the pixel will probably uncover your activity.

so does that mean pixel is useless for blackhat? Also, doesn't Facebook start automatically building your own audience after you spend a certain amount even without the pixel?

If you cloak website xyz.com with policycomplain.com and the pixel is firing information from xyz.com... would this uncover your cloaking activity? I think it‘s pretty obvious.
And to answer your second question... No,
Facebook don‘t build your Audience automatically.

Well generally cloakers are a little bit more advanced than this. i.e. destination link doesn't change or redirect in any visual way. (though maybe backend info is passed idk).

Also, are you positive that FB doesn't optimize without the pixel? I've heard conflicting reports on that.

Yes you can cloak and use pixel without getting banned. 90% of all fb marketers uses pixels. Also regarding your low CTR. Try to edit placements, and only mark faceook traffic. Unmark native, instagram etc. Will help you for sure.

Hey Guys im cloaking on FB and only have the pixel on the thank you page. I see conversions in facebook but they dont break down in age or placement or other areas. Is this because I don't have the pixel on my cloaked page?

I think the results received are more influenced by images and videos. And you'll get more results when you run the conversion, but with a traffic campaign the results will be much worse

I found the thread by doing search I didnt notice how old it was. Also if other users watch this thread maybe they might have something to add to it. Next time I will make a new thread.

Hi. Could you please tell me how to install fb pixel with cloaked campaign. I am optimizing for purchase events. Do i put the pixel in the white page and the purchase event in the thank u page and redirect traffic from the offer page to the thank u page. Please help me i am lost
