Before anything, I must imply that this is not confirmed. I am not trying to spread fake news.

Newly created ad accounts from BM, at this moment, will have country and currency based on the country and currency of the Facebook Social account that creates them. And you can not change those info any more. Some people has experience this, including myself, and I believe FB is updating to make it happen 100% from now.

In the past, when you add a payment method to a ad account, if your bank's location and the ad account info does not match, there will be a high chance that the ad account will be restricted. This also happened to me before, but FB doesn't seem to take it seriously. However, WHAT IF after the update, FB get strict about this stuff? I know that a lot of agencies are not from US and they don't have US bank account. It means that if my prediction becomes true, they will either have to make US bank account, which is hard considering they are not US citizen, or, they will have to run with their nation's currency -> they will have to pay extra tax ( I know a lot of agencies switch their ad account's info to China/US to avoid FB's tax) -> price will go up the hill.

I really hope someone would tell me that I am being paranoid.

That's true, I tried to pay for Facebook, my account is from one country but my proxy is from another, at the same time my flow was restricted

Nah, you’re not paranoid, bro—Facebook is locking country/currency settings tight, agencies outside the account’s country will struggle.

you’re not completely off, facebook has been slowly tightening how ad account info ties to the creator’s profile. if they fully enforce it, mismatched banks or countries could lead to restrictions or higher costs. agencies outside major markets might have to either use local accounts or pay extra fees. best bet is to keep accounts consistent with your real location and watch for official updates.

yeah fb been locking ad acc currency/country tighter lately. not sure it’s 100% yet, but new accs i’ve seen are stuck with whatever geo/currency at creation. it’s less about paranoia and more about fb pushing stricter billing compliance. question is how long before they roll it out fully to aged BMs too. anyone here seen old accs get forced update?
