Im new to FB ads and launched campaign on Friday.
I set my max bid at 59c/click.
But the total CPC is $1.03 ??

WTF?

Why is this?

Mind posting a screenshot of the ad stats for better understanding. Blank out the text etc if you want.

FB stats are not updated in real time.So it can give an error or two.;)

Calm down, in November and December bid reaches to top. As every single person is investing on these days for events like cybermonday and affiliates make most of the money in December.

Christmas deals -> think of jackets, shirts and much more stuff that sells.

P.S. Screenshot will really help in telling you what's wrong with the campaign.

I suggest you contact FB and demand explanations, as what happens to you clearly contradicts what they state in their website, and I quote:

Keep in mind that the Facebook advertising system uses maximum bids. This means that if you bid $5 cost per click (CPC), for example, you'll be charged no more than $5. And, in most cases, you'll be charged less.
