Fb ads targeting or custom audience?

Hello,
I’d like to find out if anybody has any experience or small tips to share for the following:

-Ad on facebook targeting people interested in “Nike” or
- scrapping Nike’s Fb and Instagram followers for emails and using that as a custom list to run an ad on fb?

would the results be similar ? Which would provide better results?

no one can guarantee so I would suggest that you do both at a small scale initially.
