Favorite color combos?

I like pastel colors and combinations that are easy on the eye.

There are many different color combos that look attractive but generally, it depends on your target market or other demographics. Anyway, my favorite is white & blue or golden & black.
 
Black text on a white background. Images for color. I'm always thinking in terms of what's easiest for people to read and I'll use some of the top news periodical sites as inspiration: wsj, vanityfair, menshealth. And of course apple is a good example of black text on white with images for color.
 
I'm gonna be that guy and say blue/white, I seriously can't get enough of that combo, haha.
 
I have always been drawn to red black and orange. Although I think purples and black and geys work well.

You asked about the color combination on your site. It depends upon the type of content of site that you want to design. But I think that combination of blue and grey color looks good for a decent and charming site.
 
Dark gray with a sparky color ( light blue, orange, light green etc. ) combo
looks always nice..!
 
What colors attracts the most are the ones that are professional yet simple and show a sense of empowerment. Like try grey with purple or bronze with lighter shades of brown.
 
I like the white color background with blue blocks and black text.
It looks like professional ad mature site.

Also the colours used on almost every single movie poster. Orange and Blue.
 
Check out Adobe Kuler. It's a really cool website where you can create and/or use other peoples colour schemes. I use it all the time when i'm stuck on colour choices.
 
I like lighter colors. One of my favorites is orange and gray!
 
I like good old orange and white, or purple and white, with black text. But hi quality pictures in the background of the layout can add a lot of atmosphere to a site.

- White and Dark Brown
- Dark Brown and Yellow
- Blue and White
 
Black, white, blue, gold, and red tend to appeal to my eye the most. I prefer white backgrounds for blogs or when I am trying to digest information.
