Favorite color combos?

I usually tend to not go for anything too bright but something that doesn't scream dull. I have seen so many websites with just black, grey or white and that doesn't scream interesting to me. Adding in blue's, green's red's and even purple's can make a huge difference.

I agree with starcreatives, going too bright can cause problems and even turn visitors away. Looking for colours that don't scream dull but are also not too bright and work together is key. White's with blue's green's red's works well.

Any kind of tiled background that is not too bright is something I love to see. Black with a purple or a green works well.

I like flat designs but at the same time I can hate it because often times people go for flat designs because they're afraid to use colors in a versatile way and it just ends up looking really bland and something that you've seen over and over again. I like warm colors, red/dark grey. Green is also nice with dark colors. Blue can also shine out on a dark background as well. But it all depends on the overall design/impression that I'm aiming for.

I usually find nice color combos on dribbble, and work from there :)

A good idea is to pick a colour you really like and then find its complementary colour. From there you use more neutral tones to even it all out. This gives you a very nice paler thats naturally appealing to the eyes because complementary colours enhance one another.

Blue, white, and black are my favourite colours to use on my websites.
blue and orange
Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan colours. :D

The colors I'm using white and lavender because purple is my favorite color and plus white and lavender looks great together.

In my experience, blues are usually the best primary colors to use for a site. I like to accent those blues with white and light shades of green. One trick that I use is going into google image search and typing in desktop backgrounds and look for the ones that are most pleasing to me and use those color combinations. You can also use tools like Adobe Kuler to help pick. They have saved me tons of time with palettes for websites.

+1 Came here to say this.

I suggest you to choose Red and Black color. It's a great combination and It will help you to give professional looks to your website.

I really like black/grey/white and mint green/orange for highlights lol don't know why but it really appeals to me.

just try to use kuler by Adobe) its free and there are a lot of color combination

It totally depends on what kind of website or the look you are going for. I tend to like monochromatic schemes but I work a lot for art websites that appreciate pops of color.

Im trying to get away from the over use of white and blue which has just been abused for the last 15 years. I like mixing in some light green tones against white for that android look.
