So just started my first niche account, not in it to monetize, not for a long time at least. More of a hobby for me right now. I already screwed up, didn't realize you can get blocked from following if you follow too much. I followed people who liked the most recent posts of the largest accounts in my niche, like 500+ people, and got just under 100 follow backs before I was blocked.

My question is, what are the safest but most effective ways to grow an account to 10k? Is the only option to slowly follow/unfollow and hope you don't get blocked? Or worse, shadowbanned?

The path to 10K can be accomplished by following targeted accounts (as you're doing now) or by purchasing shout-outs on niche specific accounts. Be sure to "always" use hashtags on your posts and respond to all comments (if possible) to increase and maintain engagement. Alternatively, you can take the easy route and simply "purchase" an already established account here on the marketplace.

    Good luck! :)

Is it worth it to buy shoutouts when you don't even have 1000 followers yet?

I've always assumed the effectiveness of shoutouts matters less on the amount of followers you have, but more on the amount of quality content you have up.

It's in the early stages that you'll want to buy shout-outs as your account is just beginning to grow (this is just my "opinion"). Regardless of how small or large an account is, shout-outs are going to be beneficial as it allows you the opportunity to put your page in front of a larger (and targeted) audience. If you choose the right page(s) to buy shout-outs on, they can be quite beneficial and will help you to increase your followers, likes, engagement etc.

    You're 100% accurate.

Gaining followers organically (and from shout-outs) isn't based on how many followers you have. Rather, it's determined by the quality of content that you provide on your page. As long as your photos are high-quality and appeal to your targeted audience, your engagement should be pretty decent.

As an example, I started a new InstaGram page 10 days ago and the "Engagement Rate" is nearly 500% and this is due to the fact that I "only" upload content that I know all of the people following my page have an interest in.

    To OP:

Don't spam your page and stick to quality and I'm sure you'll do well.

I started out by doing everything manually too but it is so time consuming compared to using massplanner or a similar service. With MP, I build an account to 10k in two months completely safely with pretty low follow numbers per day (about 400) and maybe 800 likes. I know others will probably do it far quicker than me but that's just my experience.

I follow and like followers of large accounts and have about a 10% engagement rate usually which isn't very high but it is respectable.

You got it to 10k in two months just using the bot to follow and like?

Yeah, if you gain an average of 200 followers per day minus days where you just unfollow, then it will work out around 10k. I find it might be tedious at the beginning with follow bans as you have mentioned but as the account ages then these problems shouldn't be occurring too often.

But definitely use a bot and just focus on quality content instead of all the following/liking. Massplanner instagram edition is only $15-20 a month and is honestly well worth it.

I understand the idea of it, I just don't think it would work for my account. You only follow 400 people a day and you get 200 follows? A 50% follow back rate seems really high to me. I followed like 500-600 people today before getting blocked and only got about 90 follow backs. How often did you get blocked in those two months?

Well I instruct the bot to only follow those with less followers than they are following as they are most likely to follow back. I do the same for likes, which also brings in a good chunk of my followers. I estimate my follow back rate is about 30% but is boosted by the followers I receive from liking.

Also don't forget that as the account grows, the number of people who follow your account just by naturally finding your page will also increase so as you reach maybe 5k you will start to notice this type of natural growth will also help.

EDIT: Of course if you still find your follow back percentage is low, then follow more than 400 per day as the account ages as you often hear some people follow even 800 per day with accounts years old.

Forgot to answer your last question, I think the first few weeks I got a follow block every few days but they didn't really happen that often after that. If I did get a follow block, I used that time to unfollow people using an app on my phone called "Unfollowers".

Whats the best ratio for a new account with little to no followers? How many should they be following and unfollowing in one day?

Unless you have a lot of money for ads, that's the only way I know.

Also if you have a popular site, you can ask for likes there.

I've read a lot about this and some are more cautious than others. Some people say leave the account dormant for a short period after you set up the account (maybe a week) and within this time change the bio, add a profile pic, post once a day and follow/like a very small number per day (around 50) and then as the weeks go by gradually increase this number until you are happy with the number of follows you are getting. I like to limit myself to following between 400-500 per day as I don't want to risk anything with IG.

I know a lot of people only follow for 15 days until they reach the 7500 limit and then unfollow all of them the next 15 days and just repeat the method.

Honestly, I don't think the "ratio" of followers/following matters too much as the follow limit is 7500 anyway and that can be surpassed pretty easily. I don't see differences in the amount who follow me because of my following number.

Hi ContentExpert! Maybe this is not best place to talk about it (PV?) but is there a kind of marketplace where to purchase shout-outs? Cheers! :)

OMG 18 days? Unbelievable! How much money is it possible to earn having 10k page with good niche/engagement? (what method of monetization).?

I sell accounts for people to monetize on them, I build them for people like you who would like to use them for advertising or selling shoutouts.
