Anybody know of a plugin or a way to manipulate the page view counters on my wordpress site?

Would like to set a random base default to create a sense of authority and also encourage real shares.

Not sure about this mate, but Google searched and found a plugin. Just have a look at it and also tell me the results obtained (in case u use it):

That plugin above has the option to manually set the views for each page.

Additionally, depending on how the plugin is collecting data and what counts as a "view", you may be able to get away with using an auto-refresher throughout your website.
