Hello there,

I am experiencing significant traffic loss to my website, specifically from articles. This issue began after my tech team made changes to the backend. My website primarily receives traffic through articles, not the homepage. Whenever I update any articles, their rankings either drop significantly or they fall out of the top 100 results (NA).

Here are some details:

  • The homepage has a slow loading speed, but article pages load relatively faster.
  • Ranking fluctuations are common, but a complete loss of ranking (NA) after updates is concerning.
Could the slow speed of the homepage be affecting my article rankings, or could there be other reasons for this traffic loss?

Based on recent backend updates, the following changes may occur:

Enhanced processing speed.
Review content for originality against newly published materials using Copyscape.
Evaluate on-site SEO, which may have been altered following backend modifications.
Assess spam scores.

Did this happen around 3rd May? If so, could be related to Googles May update. A couple of my high auth sites seem to of been hit, but only article pages, not the homepage.

Verify that internal linking structures are intact post-update. Although article pages are faster, the overall site speed, including the homepage, can affect SEO.

No, it is continuously happening since Jan 2024

Ok, that means I'll have to get the speed of the homepage optimised anyhow.

Could there be any server related issue behind this? or redirections on multiple pages could possibly the reason?

Tell about it to your tech team. and make organic traffic to boost your website . make backlink of your website. and also get update your website home page with website tech people .because your homepage slow as it cann't take more traffic

Can we see your website to get an idea of what is going on?

If you optimize your homepage speed, hopefully your problem will be less :)
