According to The Wall Street Journal, Meta plans to charge between $14 and $17 per month to Instagram and Facebook users in Europe to avoid seeing ads.

Will this have a big impact on advertisers, I wonder?!

Meta don't plan it, Meta already doing it, and it gives you the option between free and paid, i believe this is to avoid EUROPE Rules which is a lot against Meta, but people still chose free

Difficulty for advertisers. Reduced reach and targeting, higher CPI, and lower overall ROI. Now we have to compete for ad space.

It is surely that. It will greatly affect advertisers, they are applying it like YT Premium :( :(

I think everyone likes free
Besides, there are still people who feel bored while watching good movies but are interrupted by ads. In my opinion, they will be willing to invest in experiencing YT Premium service.

But there are also users who think it's a wasted investment because they don't often watch it on YT. Currently, there are many short films (Reels) on FB and even TT. The number of audiences accessing YT is very small, that is the opinion that I personally see.

It won't have any impact on advertisers that know what he/she is doing.

A long as advertisers are getting results, it becomes a WIN-WIN situation!

This is just a rumor, not confirmed, so you should not believe it until Meta has an official announcement.

It is difficult for advertising agents because they cannot reach customers

Oh, yeah. That whole thing. I'm just wondering what of precedent this may set of nations outside the EU and it's immediate influence. As well as for Meta itself.

Many disadvantages omg, is there any advantages from this change?

If the price is smaller, do you think ppl will choose the price? Like a suitable price for not being interrupted..
Besides, I feel like European willing to pay to have pleasure hmmm
