Has anyone else noticed that Facebook’s algorithm seems to favor video content heavily over text and image posts lately?

I see everything is still normal, Facebook still prioritizes CEO techniques and how to sow keywords, attract users from your posts, regardless of text, images or videos. Is the difference you notice from accounts with higher credibility?

Yeah, totally. Facebook’s really pushing short, native videos like Reels right now. If you want good reach, focus on making engaging vertical videos straight on Facebook. Skip reposting low-quality stuff from other platforms it won’t help. It’s the way things are going, so better to roll with it.

Yes. They are prioritizing short videos to keep users engaged. Videos always get more views than photos on the same topic. It seems like Facebook is trying to strike the same balance as other platforms because they see that videos can keep users engaged for longer.

Yes, Facebook heavily favors video now especially Reels. Text and image posts get minimal reach. If you're not posting native video, you're getting buried.

Videos (especially Reels) and Livestreams provide more positive signals (such as watching the entire video, sharing, commenting) than photos/text, which are therefore considered by the algorithm to be worth watching again and prioritized for distribution to users' news feeds.

FB wants to be TikTok 2.0, so vid posts get prime real estate. Static posts feel invisible now. If you’re not stacking reels/short vids, algo barely cares. Adapt format or bleed impressions, that’s the play.

As far as I know, Facebook has been prioritizing Reels in recent years. And based on my own experience, I also prefer watching Reels more than videos from the News Feed or the dedicated Video section.

Absolutely. Facebook is favoring reels, as they keep users engaged for longer. Photo/text posts are losing reach as the algorithm favors dynamic content to compete with other video platforms.

Delusion. Most often, people just suffer from a product or offer, and they look for the reason in something else.

Absolutely — you're not imagining it. Facebook’s algorithm has been increasingly prioritizing video content, especially short-form videos like Reels. It’s part of their push to compete with platforms like TikTok and YouTube. Text and image posts just don’t get the same organic reach anymore. Anyone else seeing this shift too?

Facebook is prioritizing videos (especially Reels) over text + photo posts, because videos retain users longer and compete directly with TikTok/YouTube.

Yes, it does seem like Meta has been giving more visibility to video content recently, especially Reels and short-form videos. They appear to get better reach and engagement compared to static images or text posts.

These formats generate more valuable positive signals to the algorithm (like watch time, shares, comments) than static posts. These signals help the algorithm rate the video as “watchable” and increase its visibility in News Feed. This trend is consistent with real-world experience, where users are more likely to enjoy and spend more time watching Reels than traditional videos from News Feed or the dedicated Videos section.

That’s right, Facebook is prioritizing videos (especially Reels) over text posts or photos. The reason is that videos keep users engaged longer, compete with TikTok, and bring in more ad revenue.

Yes, Facebook has been prioritizing video content for more reach and engagement, while text and image posts generally get less visibility now.

Of course, Facebook is prioritizing video content over text posts and image posts

In 2025, short videos or Reels are widely supported by everyone because of their appeal and ease of conveying emotions to viewers, in the language of young people, it is a "trend", so it is not surprising that Facebook prioritizes its money tree.

No, they need both, and they always recommend that your campaign has both video and image ads so they can distribute to more users
