Facebook Will Be dead by 2020

Facebook won't die until something radical comes along. And by that I mean social media huge. There was a time before social media and there will be a time after but it won't happen for a long long time.

I fuckin' love Facebook. I can see how my extended family is doing, chat with old friends, and gently explain to the retarded single moms from high school that the reason they never got their diploma was because they spread alt-right bullshit on a daily basis, Rebecca you bitch.

Don't forget clicking like to pray for someone or something.

Facebook the platform may one day die, but remember they own Instagram, and will buy up the next big thing. The information they have, the algos they've developed are worth the money - think of what you can apply that to. Not to mention these mega corporations aggressively reinvest in their business - look at Google, Amazon, Facebook... they all buy up innovative businesses to keep one step ahead of the game.

I do not think so. It can slow down with the growth, but i assume that it will die... maybe in 20, 30 years, but they will found the way how to meet user requirements in the future

Facebook, Inc. or Facebook, the social network?

As much as I hate it, Facebook, Inc. has too many popular subsidiaries, most of which people don't even know are owned by Facebook, to go down that quickly. Subsidiaries such as:
  • Instagram
  • Messenger
  • WhatsApp
  • Oculus VR
  • tbh
  • Watch
Facebook the social network, well, their users are obstinate; despite all of the shady content they've allowed on their website, they still refuse to leave it. They like their fake success, arguing, Wikipedia knowledge, grainy "memes", misused memes, beheadings, child abuse images, animal abuse videos, indirect responses, and that silly reactions system that acts a digital representation of their shallow emotions way too much.

I doubt it. Their database along is worth an absolute fortune, even if half of the worlds population were not actively using their services.
i don't know, maybe in some cases they may have to destroy it, i think germany has a case for them, just off top of my head

Just a thought. Couldn't something like this hit all these social networks that operate with no accountability? Imagine all those people that had their Legit accounts/pages/profiles removed, with no explanation and no specific reason provided and no way of getting in touch about getting their page reinstated.

So if the law in the US changes somehow, a million people could sue all these social networks, and it would be a hurricane.

What do you think?

Facebook try dominating by expanding it's network to other media... Whatsapp | Instagram .. I don't see any Social Media beating it to the game in a decade from now. Think Twice before coming up with unnecessary propaganda.

I don't think they're going anywhere but what do people actually USE Facebook for these days?

When it first started getting big in my teen years, people would actually write on each others walls, upload pictures etc.

Now, at least for me, I don't see anyone really posting anymore. It's like Facebook has dwindled down from being a 'social networking site' to just tagging people in shitty memes.

I much prefer IG and feel younger people prefer to use that instead whilst the oldies haven't completely caught on yet and still use FB.

Fortunately for FB, they own IG too so... 2020, I think not :p

I'm from the time when alt-right was a computer keyboard key.

EDITED. Yes, OP, Facebook is dying a well deserved death. It is a cancer.

As long Facebook can continue to adapt to "the now" they will never die.
