Facebook vs Instagram Policies/Bans

Dear IM experts. I've been seeing a ton of comments recommending Instagram over Facebook.

I would like to ask if the bans that happen on Facebook accounts also happen on IG accounts? To advertise on IG you've to use the Facebook Ads Manager and it would make sense for them to use the same clever bots/algos to ban people on IG. But i really don't know.

This question is directed to the advertising side. I used to promote affiliate offers (white hat) on Facebook but got tired of all the bans. It did take a tole on my health since i was always waking up to check if i was banned lol.

I get bans on the Facebook pages but still using the same Instagram account for many ads and its fine
But they can just ban the bm so you lose both

So from what you're saying, as long as i'm not promoting anything on FB, using ads for IG only i'm a bit safer right?
