facebook's just following twitter's trend with verified accounts. they're just juggling too much.

wish they'd display publicly the requirements for a verified accounts. always gotta keep people in the dark....

so, my ebook with poems and artworks is ready soon. i will publish it as free ebook on all big bookstores and i will hope, they will check it
i will use my artist name and put it on the cover. i will also get an author profile by amazon.
i will print it out and send a copy to facebook by using this contact form where i can upload my ID with official artist name on it, too.

i will let you know if it works

Facebook does not verify pages based on likes.

It is providing you have a website that is official to that page

I can help you out getting your page VERIFIED. There is a way, requesting Facebook to verify your page. I can do this within 4 days. PM me for more details.

Dude, just google "how to my verify facebook page". Plenty of info, directly from Facebook.

There's no other way around it.

Make sure you submit request nicely for the first time.. When I submitted, first time I got reply and they rejected.

However, I corrected many things and submitted again, they didn't even send the confirmation reply.
So, I think if you're rejected once by request link, then you can request again any soon. Any views on that?

I found a lot of YouTube user with verified facebook pages. They have 30.000 follower on YouTube and more but only 8000 fans on their FB page. But verified....

So maybe it works by creating some lets play Videos, pay for adwords and maybe FB will verify the page

Simple change the page name to a brand, organisation, company, web site... that you own than download Facebook Mentions and apply for verification. but you must own proof that you represent those above.
