Facebook has been pushing more short-form content lately, so many users are reporting similar changes in their feed. It doesn’t necessarily mean anything is wrong with your account - it’s more of a platform-wide shift.
Meta doesn't randomly stuff Reels into your feed. It pushes what keeps users engaged the longest, and right now that's short videos. You're interacting less with friends, and more with Reels, which distorts your feed.My feed is flooded with random Reels from pages I’ve never followed.
Even my own friends’ posts barely show up anymore.
Is anyone else seeing this massive shift, or is Meta just forcing everyone into short video mode?
Yeah, you’re not imagining it. Meta is heavily pushing Reels right now, even from pages you don’t follow. Friends’ posts are getting buried unless they get fast engagement. It’s basically Meta forcing short video discovery, similar to TikTok.My feed is flooded with random Reels from pages I’ve never followed.
Even my own friends’ posts barely show up anymore.
Is anyone else seeing this massive shift, or is Meta just forcing everyone into short video mode?
Currently, Facebook prioritizes the distribution of short, vertical videos (Reels). So that's perfectly understandable. My feed is flooded with random Reels from pages I’ve never followed.
Even my own friends’ posts barely show up anymore.
Is anyone else seeing this massive shift, or is Meta just forcing everyone into short video mode?
