Is it possible to have a blog like interface where people can log in to their social media sites, such as facebook and share some of thier friends updates and pics with ease?

And then other viewers to the blog can comment on this this post?

Need very simple working if this can be done. Please also mention cost / time involved and links of similar (maybe) projects done via PM

    Thank you.

I'm not sure if I understand your project correctly, but it sounds like you might be referring to the WP plugin I believe is called facebook dashboard.

Go to wp extended plugin area and search for facebook and I am pretty sure you will see this and a few similar ones come up.

In the least, it might help you start off your own project.

Thank you for the info. I am looking for something a little bit different. For example. As a visitor, I would log into the site and then be able to connect to my facebook, my friends statuses, pics etc and then be able to select the ones I want to publish here on this site. And then other visitors to the site could comment on this.

Ah that is a little more clear now.

I can't think of anything that does that. You might be looking at creating a new plugin that works with facebook. Their might also be something else that could possibly facilitate this... have you looked at Google Connect? I don't know if they have come out of closed beta yet or not, but this almost sounds like what you are talking about.

The biggest challenge I see in this is getting people to login via your site. That represents privacy and security issues for those using your site. I am thinking it might be easier, less troublesome to create a facebook app that allows users to push their content to your site, instead of them going through your site to pull their content from facebook.

At least this way all the privacy issues are on facebook and not you. Being an app developer you get the added bonus of gaining access to all their private information as well anyways :)

This is about all I can suggest. Hope it helped in some way.

Google connect is interesting, I think a facebook app is required, you are right about that! Well, any fb app programmers here to help?
