Facebook new policy

THe only article I could find about this was a Mashables article, although there were several other articles in the SERPs that claim that this is a false rumour (some articles were even posted as early as 2009)

However, in Facebook's TOS under the "About Advertisements and Other Commercial Content Served or Enhanced by Facebook" section, they state that:
You give us permission to use your name, profile picture, content, and information in connection with commercial, sponsored, or related content (such as a brand you like) served or enhanced by us. This means, for example, that you permit a business or other entity to pay us to display your name and/or profile picture with your content or information, without any compensation to you. If you have selected a specific audience for your content or information, we will respect your choice when we use it.

Although you may have seen these ads before. These are the ads where your name and profile image are displayed in advertisements such as "John Doe likes McDonalds" or "Jane Doe likes Starbucks".

Seems you are right.

Edit: whatt this is from 2009.... Did not see that.

Strange thing is that when I search this matter in my language there several off websites talking about this topic. I found also a article saying that the new policy is postponed to 25 january 2015.
