we just applied for Petty Memes today. Just had to send in some business paperwork. fingers crossed.

im pretty sure your page has to qualify before they give you the 'verify" option in page settings.

Hm? Like business verify or blue. I've never gotten that, would you be able to pm to see by chance?
When did they get verified, I think it was around mid 2016. Now it's almost impossible.
Also profiles get verified, but you should have a little "fame" to get verified profile. For ex. a friend has a channel on youtube with over 100k subscribers and a verified channel on youtube.
As soon as he send the application to Facebook, they've checked his YT channel and got his FB profile verified.
From what I've seen journalists get easily verified profiles.
I think he used the form application for grey badge. It is of this sort to send business documents or verifying the phone number and address.
But they've been cases that pages got blue badge when they applied for grey badge.
