Facebook Authentication for creating landing page on Facebook fan page

Hi there,

I am new here, so please bear with me... I have question on customization of FB fan page:

I have read somewhere that FB page must be authenticated before enabling the ability to set up a landing page beyond Wall or Info tab. And to be eligible for authentication, a Page must have greater than 10k fans or the Page admin must work with their ads account manager. Does this rule still apply or we can straight away customize and create the landing page on fan page?

Please help...

Thanks for the replies. So lemme summarize: I can create a Fan page, and customize my welcome page/landing page without any authentication( which may be required once I reach 10k fans). Am I right?
