Facebook App - What is a batch run?

I've tried searching for this but I can't find any info. For the FB apps like tinie and neo does anybody know what a batch run is and what it does?

A batch run sends to the person who allowed the app and to 25 of there friends usually.

Do you mean it adds them to the app? Or it just posts updates on 25 accts?

it posts what you want onto the person who allowed your app + 25 of there friends
