I’m running ads under the new Andromeda update with a CBO setup—1 campaign, 1 ad set(Advantage +), and 5–10 ads. When some ads start underperforming, is it better to cut them and add new creatives, or just remove the weak ones and duplicate the top-performing ads instead?

With the Andromeda setup, avoid heavy edits. It’s usually better to pause weak ads and add fresh creatives gradually. Duplicating top performers can work, but keep changes minimal to preserve learning stability.

We are testing now 1-1-5 and have not best results... Last week we almost stop traffic. Trying to return the volume with profitable ROI

If any ad you run (Advantage+) is not effective, remove it and upload a new ad immediately. Do not duplicate a good post because it will quickly become saturated.

When the campaigns are not effective, you can turn them off and leave the effective campaigns and continue advertising. That will avoid affecting the remaining campaigns. You should not create new campaigns because that requires redistribution and it will affect the remaining campaigns.

Turn off weak ads, keep top performers, add 2–3 new creatives to keep the learning cycle stable.
In Andromeda, constant light replacements, no hard resets is the safest strategy to maintain CBO performance.

It’s better to remove the weak ads, clean the slate, and introduce new-creatives rather than just duplicate winners.
Under Meta Advantage+ and Meta Andromeda, the algorithm rewards a diverse creative portfolio more than copying the same ad
Keep the top-performing ad(s) running, but constantly refresh with fresh angles so the system keeps learning.

With the CBO Advantage+ structure, you should keep your budget stable and only replace weak creatives with new ones instead of duplicating strong ads. This helps the algorithm maintain steady learning, avoid data resets, and keep performance more sustainable.

Cut them and increase the budget in the good camp

Tốt hơn là tắt các quảng cáo yếu và sao chép các quảng cáo có hiệu suất cao nhất vì điều đó giúp thuật toán ổn định và sử dụng ngân sách của bạn hiệu quả hơn

I usually remove the underperformers and duplicate the best ads while testing 1–2 fresh creatives to keep the algorithm learning efficiently.

A safe and effective strategy is to avoid creating completely new campaigns. Instead, turn off underperforming ads and keep the good ones, and continuously add 2-3 new Creatives to maintain a steady learning cycle. This method of constantly replacing content is the best way to maintain CBO performance.

I am testing Andromeda with the same setup.
The experience is: don’t move too early – let the algorithm learn for about 48–72 hours.
Then, just pause weak ads (high CPA, low CTR) and add 1–2 new creative ads instead of duplicate old ads, because the copy often loses performance after cloning.

It’s usually better to duplicate the top performers and replace the underperforming ads—keeps your campaign more stable.

you definitely need to do both
copy ads effectively
and create new content
because fb updates its algorithm daily by AI, but old campaigns will soon be outdated and removed from their algorithm, meaning customers will no longer click on your videos

I’ve tried both, but lately duplicating the best performers and letting the algo reoptimize gives more stable results. Cutting too fast sometimes resets the learning phase and hurts performance.

Cut weak ads and replace them with fresh creatives. Duplicating top performers can help, but keep testing new angles to avoid audience fatigue.

My way is to turn off weak-performing ads
And when I want to test a new ad creative and content, I will add a new ad set so that Meta is not confused when distributing users for the ad set + old ads

For my experience, you should turn off weak ads, and duplicate the best ads and add 1-2 creative per day to keep the algorithm learning
