Is it better to post 1-3 times a day for better engagement or on the hour?

The best time to post is between 4 and 7 PM.
For 1 to 3 posts a day it's ok but it should be viral content.

Depends if you're posting with a profile or a page? Let me know and I can best assist you with this.

consider people work during the day, so usually between 5pm-10pm

i post every hour and the best is 4 - 10 p.m you maximize this time im referring for u.s fans

Take a look at Tim Burd's videos. He spends 6 figures a month supposedly on FB ads. I believe he said midnight

As people have said, think about when people might be browsing FB- this will vary based on niche. Insights on FB should help a bit.

Don't ONLY look at the amount of clicks coming in during certain time periods, the true measurements you need to look at are: # of FB POST:CLICK ratio, EPV (earnings per view) of a user to your LP, CTR% on LP, and EPC to offer.

In my testing over many FB groups campaigns the boatload of traffic comes in the evening like everyone has mentioned, but that traffic isn't as productive in any measurement. The most valuable traffic for bulk of my stuff comes in the early part of the day (6am - 1pm). If you're in a family friendly niche I think you may notice this as well as people are surfing at work on desktops instead of when commuting or watching TV while surfing a mobile device, surfers come out later.
