Ezine Linkbuilding

Link building for articles is obviously a little different from building links to a wordpress blog (which is what I normally do) so I'm seeking some advice.

Obviously I've been using social bookmarks. Those help me stay indexed and ranked and are a key part of what I do. I make those with bookmarking demon. I also do some commenting on wordpress blogs with scrapebox. Additionally, I want to add some vbulletin profiles.

I have a few questions. First of all, is it likely these vbulletin profile links that are ezinearticles links will stay up long term? I always had very good success linking to my blog, which is a hosted domain, but not sure if the moderators will be cool with ezine articles in a profile. Some of my articles are about adult topics, as well.

Also, what are some other options for getting high quality backlinks for ezinearticles? Seems it would be harder to get .edu when you are posting articles about penis enlargement.

It seems to me that ezine articles is going downhill because of all the people using it for affiliate marketing. I recommend using a similar service. And .edu for penis enlargement would be epic haha.

ezines seems pointless these days. im still doing it but seriously considering removing it from my link building schedule.

What makes you say that its going down hill?

One sneaky way to get a back link for a term like penis enlargement is to write an article on a health topic and include you link in your bio box. That's if you only want to back link and are not trying to rank the article for your keyword.

For example: John Doe has done several years of health research, for more information on topics such as <insert your backlink>blood flow restriction< and <insert your backlink>male enhancement< visit his site at xxx.com

The academics have always said that the penis mightier than the sword.

I have good success with ezine, with a little more SEO on it I could turn that to great.

Ezine is still powerful.

If I submit my article to a directory like ezinearticles and then I put a backlink to my blog in the resource box then socially bookmark the article link is this a good strategy?

That is a good start... you also want to build backlinks to your articles so the link juice from the articles pass through to your site.
