Expired Domain - What does this mean? (Read the thread)

Hey guys,

Back in 2023, i bought an expired domain of a restaurant with good number of backlinks from some high quality websites like (lamag, thrillist, opentable etc).

I was using that domain as a redirect to my main domain in the same niche (restaurant). After this March update, that blog went down completely.

Now, on 1 September, i have shifted all that content on that expired domain. On 2 September, i have submitted the expired domain in Google search console and on 3 September, many of my articles got indexed.

From 5-6 September, i started receiving traffic on my expired domain and it continues to grow for 7-8 days.

On 14 September, my traffic started declining (i have attached the graph). Now, i am wondering what happened or is it too early to judge the domain?

The expired domain was of a restaurant and i am also writing content related to different eateries. I am also targeting keywords and writing by my own without ChatGPT or any other AI.

Here are some expired domain stats:

DA:- 27
Spam Score:- 1
Age :- 6 years old
Not used by any other before. Was indexed when I bought it.

Any recommendations will be really appreciated as this is my only last hope in this blogging journey.

Remember when your website is declining you need to audit the ones that are ranking.
Look for gaps in content, backlinks, performance, site structure etc.
And fill those gaps.

These metrics are just numbers you need to manually check the backlinks and grade them.

bro dont trust DA or PA of any page also faken

I agree. But most of my posts appear on page one in the 3-4 position. Also, some new posts i have written in the past 3-4 days are ranking in the 3-4 position in Google on the first page by beating some big websites too.

When you buy a domain it comes with an expiry date and you have to renew it. If some failed to renew the domain then it becomes expired and you have some grace time period to get it back, if you failed to renew it in a given time then that domain again becomes available to buy.

Most likely, the issue isn’t with the domain—it’s the content. You should take a closer look at the blog content and compare it with competitors (especially those who have improved their search rankings). Also, pay close attention to the types of pages that rank for your keywords on Google.
