Hi guys,

I've just snapped up one of my competitor expired domains, not the greatest of back link profiles, but it's not bad either.

The problem is that some links are for the http version and some are https version. What's the best way forward here? Upgrade the site to SSL and redirect all http to https?

Thanks

Well if it's for a PBN, then I wouldn't really bother with https to be honest. Just make sure it redirects to http and keep it that way. No need to overextend yourself in this regard, especially, as you said, if the backlink profile isn't a miracle :)

You can always go with free SSL certificate. It doesn't cost a dime. Use letsencrypt. It is an authority CA in the open source world, sponsored by Mozilla, Cisco, Google.
