Expired Domain Not Getting Indexed After 3 Months

Spam score on Moz was 2/17 which I take it is good.
I also bought one with a spam score of 5/17 and that got indexed 3 days after putting it on wordpress so getting confused again!

Do you think all non-indexed are penalised then?
No, of course that not all. But when you see that domain is not in Google index, you should check it in other tools, for example in Semrush.
It will minimize chance of purchase the penalized domain.

Cheers, Greg.

I did check with ahrefs, but it didn't tell me there was a penalty.
So how does Semrush tell you there is a penalty when Ahrefs doesn't?

Also, it seems the moz spam score isn't a spam score of your expired domain, according to some folk!

Peak drop in traffic is clear signal that "something happen"
This is only the one way to verify it.

Moz SpamScore it's more than great joke, just get a look how it's created.
A few most stupid "signals" used by Moz to create "Spam Score".

  • Low number of pages found - so each small business site is the spam
  • TLD correlated with spam domains, (e.g. .info, .cc, .pl, etc) - so Google.pl is the spam.
  • Vowels/Consonants in Domain Name (repeated) - OMG, Google, Yahoo, Badoo - all of them are the spam
  • Google Font API Present - that stupid, that no comment needed.
  • Google Tag Manager Present - same as above
  • Doubleclick Present - same as above
  • Phone Number Present - same as above
  • Links to LinkedIn - same as above
  • Use of Meta Keywords - same as above
  • Rel Canonical - same as above
  • Length of Title Element - same as above
  • Length of Meta Description - same as above
Is it have in your opinion any value ?

Cheers, Greg.

Update.
Google has removed the manual penalty.
So what happens to the links now then?

ok, you guys are good!
message says "manual penalty", all pages are spammed!

Ok, they are saying I can ask for review.
I haven't done anything wrong with the site. No links, just added 10 pages of content.
Is it worth asking for the review?

Yeah, it's worthwhile.

As for the links, I don't think you want that domain period. Why would you try to build a PBN on a penalized domain, penalized for Spam at that. Yikes!

Yer, Google removed the penalty as I say. I followed all the rules for picking the domain. but the links looked fine, no chinese, no viagra etc.
Guess you don't know.
What do you guys look for?
I know Google mentioned "cloaking" as maybe an issue
