Expired domain maening?

Can you please tell me the difference between an expired domain with backlinks and a normal domain from Godaddy (15$) that previously had a certain number backlinks.
Since both have backlinks whats the added value in an expired domain?

number of backlinks doesnt matter you just need to check quality of backlinks

If the expired domain has good quality backlinks then it will prove helpful in improving your blog when compared to new domains. But make sure you choose the right expired domain at auction.

You mentioned an expired domain with backlinks and a domain you can register that already has some links. I think they are the same thing.

An expired domain can be registered for it's usual registration cost and a domain with existing backlinks is highly likely to have been registered at some point in the past and is now expired.
