Hello
A seller is offering me a niche expired domain with good metrics and 10+ backlinks (Clean backlinks from authority websites)
Do you think 10 backlinks are enough ?
Your advice is much appreciated.

Which backlinks are they...?
There is a big difference between having 10 backlinks from forbes, and having 10 backlinks from watchblondesgetnailed.spam

The backlinks are coming from clean websites with hig PR, no chinese or spammy links

Then make sure that the domain is indexed, and buy that shit before somebody else does!

It's for $10, not sure what you expect for that price. And I am pretty sure those backlinks aren't from sites with "high PR". :)

Make your due dilligence before you buy. :)

Yes, you should buy the domain if it is purely niche related. But if is not related to your niche then you should buy new domain and make a blog on it. Means post articles on daily basis. It will help you to rank your website.

Some of the advice here is so so bad. :)

Rarely matter if its even niche related to be honest.

Check if its from authority website like Wikipedia etc. Than its worth

Wikipedia is nofollow, that won't help you much.

It's not necessary for the domain to be indexed. Why do you think people bother with checking the domain history thoroughly? If it were indexed, there wouldn't be a need for this.

Ah shit you are correct. I meant to write make sure that it ISNT deindexed.

its based on how much price. if it has good backlink then its surely its good pet.

You have to do your research also like checking the history of the domain before you buy it regardless of the good metrics.

I personally aim for about 50 or so the more the better in my eyes as long as there not spam obviously.

Always prefer to buy niche related expire domain. It help you more as compared to a domain that is not related to your niche. Google see relevant content as well. Not just a link from authority website or from PBN. So, always try to get a niche related domain.

Hi,

Try to check the following points:

1. domain and links were indexed or not earlier?
2. check domain history.
3. The backlinks domain is good? or like a spammy web 2.0 stuff?
4. You need to check all the aspects before you buy the expired domain name.

PS: With that cost, I don't think you'll get backlinks from authority sites.
It would be a good to have backlinks but not the top rated one's :)

About this.

You have 2 domains to pick from. One has amazing metrics and the second one has average metrics, but niche relevancy. Which one would I take? The first one. Why? Because I can make it niche relevant by putting niche relevant content on it, despite the links pointing to it. They are basically tier 2 links. So why sacrifice firepower for niche relevancy is beyond me.

People are really over-hyping niche relevancy these days.

This is maybe 50% of what you should do, it's definitely not enough.

If the 10 backlinks are coming from high authority site and domain is useful for you. Then its good to go ahead with it.

Choosing an expired domain is the best choice, focus on good quality content related to your niche that brings you more traffic.

See if the price is right, it depends on how much they will sell it to you.
If you think it's a fair price, and profitable enough, then you should grab it before they change their mind.

if domain has
-mora than 10 reffering domains from authority websites (check anchor text!)
-not been used for spam (also adult, gambling, pharmacy related domains should be avoided)
-been checked in wayback machine for content quality
-more than 6 years of existance

and doesn't cost more than 80$ that's a good buy. If you know how link building works you can get 20-30 more high authority backlinks in 3-6 months which will give your domain enough link juice to rank in 1-3 on google. More quality links the better, more age the better.

Domain content can always be altered and made niche relevant. If domain isn't indexed don't worry. There's a trick to make domains reindexed again in few minutes. And it's not a secret since it can be found on google with ease.

also check the SEO metrics and aim for: Page Authority-20+ Domain Authority-20+ Trust Flow-15+ Citation Flow-10+

There's a lot more stuff that points to domain quality, what you read above are the most important guidelines for a good purchase.
I hope I helped, cheers!
