Expired Domain 20+ years Old

i found expired domain and built a website and added to GSC.
It indexed and my problem is in links section it shows no links.
In ahrefs and MOZ shows it has 10 backlinks but GSC won't show them.
domain stayed not active for about 18 years.
Any ideas?

Check the domain in https://archive.org/ to see what's site before and recently.
GSC only show indexing situation and position, but no backlink right?
And GSC also updates very slow....

Thanks.i added it to gsc about 3 weeks ago.
No activity on the website from 2001 :)
 
Aging is not that important anymore. If the links are highly valuable just wait for it. Be aware that Google might have been indexing through those links with a not found error so far. Sites like Ahrefs, just keep a journal for analysis purposes (and mainly because a lot of domain hunters have this need to reach hq expired domains)
But Google don't have this chore. So think on that incoming links as newly created links that have re-index at some point (when they find that the site is live again). This may take days, weeks or months, but you can try to accelerate with some indexing service.
 
Use archive to pull up recent data on the domain and it should help you out in framing a rough picture.
 
why would you spend your time on an expired domain with only 10 links? since it will not be worth a PBN also.
 
Archive wont give you anything link wise, no idea why people mention it at all. And yeah 10 backlinks are nothing, you may never see them in GSC as Google is NOT showing all links there. Usually takes few weeks to be updated anyway.

yes they are valuable,CNN and BBC :(
 
I doubt that those past links will fully show on GSC - they are good links, but GSC doesn't really list things of the past in their listing. Even if they do, they may take anywhere from 1-6 months - imagine I had a site: operator error sometime back, and they took 1 month just to recrawl and reverify that it's their own fault that their spiders did a poo-poo in indexing (they had a bug sometime back). If you want their spiders to recrawl, maybe you can try giving them incentive by pointing some good links or social signals to those linking sites, and maybe it would show up on your GSC after that.
