So guys what is your opinion on this, coz nowadays google is aggressive with many algorithm updates and penalties.

Anecdotal, but high traffic sites with penalties are really coveted on sites like flippa because with a bit of elbow grease you end up getting an amazing deal once it's unpenalized.
