Hello!
I was genuinely intrigued by this question, so in 2021, I purchased the domain vproexpert.com and decided to occasionally publish AI-generated content there. It was important to me that the experiment remain pure, so I never resorted to purchasing backlinks for these articles.
Initially, I used CPT-2 and later switched to CPT-3 for creating content. Since my English proficiency wasn't very strong at the time, I suspect the quality of the content suffered.
Everything changed when I gained access to ChatGPT and Dreamstudio for image creation. This allowed me to produce and share higher-quality content.
Here are the experimental results:
- No issues with Google including the AI-generated content in its index.
- Confirmed that AI-created content can attract traffic from both Google Discover and Google organic search.
- Throughout the entire duration of publishing the content, the site has never been penalized during major Google core algorithm updates.
- Pages featuring such content, even without backlinks, are capable of ranking within Google's top 10 search results.
- Interestingly, some AI-generated images were actually added to Bing's collection, complete with follow links. How cool is that?
Drawbacks of the experiment:
- While I made efforts to ensure the content quality was good enough, the creation process still required human attention as it wasn't fully automated.
- It's possible that the chosen theme of the site limited my ability to create a larger volume of content.
Overall, the experiment yielded valuable insights, showcasing the potential of AI-generated content in the eyes of Google.
Let me know if there's anything else you'd like to know!
