It still showing it on #3 on my screen and a serp checker? It's been there for the last month.

You would need WAY more backlinks to experiment anything.

I have new websites where I got 10k Indexed backlinks under 2 weeks.
 
This keyword has < 10 exact searches in USA... not too much.
 
SERP only 46,300 , and not even in top 10.. it is on 13 rank :( not a good thread
 
Blasting a site is risk free

But i am wondering if "pinging" it thousand times a day is too.

I read in the SEO Ignition ebook that it was risky, and since the author of this ebook seems serious and competent I am doubting.
