I have a ton of 4 year old instagram accounts that are collecting dust and I wanted to put them to some good use. So this week I have been playing around with massplanner and a few accounts to test the water. While doing this I noticed some great results and decided to share them with you. I wanted to run these accounts in a manner that emulated a real user as much as possible, since proxies for instagram can become expensive if you want to churn and burn accounts with commenting and such. So I setup a few accounts to just upload 20 photos per day using 15 related hashtags. To my complete surprise, I started seeing 50+ likes on each image and almost 200 new followers on the first day. As the days pass, the engagement continues to grow alongside the followers and I have managed to replicate the success on all the other accounts I have setup. The next step is to keep finding new niches and adding them to massplanner each day. The only thing I can attribute this level of engagement to is the fact that the accounts have got a decent trust score from their age and are getting preferential treatment in the hashtag search results. Its worth noting that the hashtags I am targeting have in most cases got millions of results showing for them, so for my images to be getting any impressions at all was a very welcome surprise.
