I'm noticing you also really gotta pay attention to the exact/brod numbers. I've seen some keywords rate really high and some significantly lower on brod, but when I hit exact on, its swaps and the low one is actually much higher.

Which one do you guys generally go with? I'm guessing some combination of the both, is there a good way to calculate this or find out which keyword might be better to go for based on these numbers?

I Never use Broad. IMO it's a waste of time (adwords tool).

Because Broad is just that, broad. You search a broad match for tennis shoes, you get results from tennis shoes, tennis, shoes, buy tennis shoes, sneakers, shoe photos, etc...

I always use [Exact] and then I use "Phrase" just to delve deeper into the KW potential.

In Market Samurai, I do use Broad though, because with MS, broad can uncover many other keywords.

go with broad to see what your competition is in G because people dont use quotes when they search. But to select the KW to target use exact for your traffic estimates.

Exact. Particularly when hunting domains. Made the mistake of using broad when buying them before like a dolt.

Yup exact is what you can expect for search volume.

Ya, that makes a lot of sense, I assumed that much, thanks for confirming guys.
