I thought that after Panda/Farmer that exact Matches were tossed out, but I see exact matches (even .info's) ranking 4, 3, 2, or even 1 for some keywords. Even above the actual products website here and there. Did they pull that out of the algorithm?

    Thanks In Advance.

I'm using EMDs with all TLDs including .com/.net/.org/.info and all are ranking well after some backlinking showing up on top 2 pages.

Panda was about farming out low quality sites, not EMDs.

If anything I've seen increased strength with EMDs post panda. I see them a lot more than I used to in my niches on first page. Kind of annoying.

I remember the speculation of it EMD loosing value...but who knows how true that is

EMD's ought to eventually be dealt with by Google (I'm not a fan of that style rankings), but like titles they will likely always play a part to a degree. I don't see a way around it.

If the site has good content, Google will favour your site - especially if it has an EMD.

Panda had no real effect on EMD - but Google have since hinted (or was it outright said) that they may well be addressing the EMD's at the next update.

I've made a few EMD sites in the last few days - and without backlinking (aside from a twitter tweet for indexing purposes) about half of them having broken the top 10, the rest have done so with a quick SB blast

Will be a shame when Google marks down the EMD, I love the loophole!

Don't think I can link out post number wise yet so whilst there is a useful Matt Cuts video this quote should help

From about March, making it right for them to be investigating doing in the next big update imo

Panda is about low content value.
Websites with Exact Match Domain aren't necessarily low value.
