I agree. It's not only BHW but also other social media sites (Reddit is a good example as well). It seems to me that people don't like to leave their comfort zone anymore. And for a lot of people leaving the comfort zone also means leaving the house and doing something else besides their regular schedule. Almost seems like robotic behaviour to me .


Unfortunately thats what it seems like. And i've been there. I've had a time in my life where i was completely cut off from my social circle and it's not as bad actually, until you realize in your head that you actually don't have a social circle anymore.

One major problem i also see in the current society is that people are very secretive and sensitive about everything. I am not sure how it is in other countries (maybe its way better in US), but here in Germany when you are talking to a stranger you are being looked at as some kind of weirdo. Unless you are of course at a party and drunk because "Hey, everyone can be socially active when they are drunk". Literally 80% of the population here (In Germany) have a giant stick up their ass and are socially fucked. And i am not the only one that thinks like that.

And its usually the younger generation that have the stick up their ass. I can talk normally with an older person in the gym for 3 minutes straight, but when i talk to some younger people they'll always give me a short answer and just walk away lol.

As for the younger generation not being able to hold conversations, I think it can be attributed to a combination of a lack of life experiences and exposure to social situations (which older people typically have had more time and experience with to craft their social skills).

That said, times are changing and even though humans are social animals, and innate feelings of loneliness drive us to desire social interactions and relationships, it's being substituted by social media since like you've mentioned, people don't like to leave their comfort zones. More people are also glued to their phones, which leads to fewer experiences and less things to talk about.

And evidently with the tech boom, anxiety and depression is increasing, as well as something as obscure like telephobia (fear of phone calls). Social skills are like a muscle. You need to consistently train it or you will lose it.



You're missing the point, mate. And it isn't just finances, it's a result of technology, advancements in medicine, etc.



Great job basing your opinion on the video in 2 minutes. I'm sure a video that has resonated with hundreds of thousands of people in a matter of months means absolutely nothing.
