How can i create an email list from my etsy buyers without pissing Etsy off?

I was thinking of creating a freebie with every order where they could access it by simply putting in their email.

Anyone has experience with creating your own email list from your etsy customers?

The only way is to puit a link to your website where you have a lander. Check the etsy policy. I think they own the data of email. Not you, so you can't just take it and use it outside of etsy, no matter how attractive that may seem to you as a noob spammer.

Do you really think someone on etsy wants to be contacted from a random seller they bought from? Its like it you bought a digital download for the reason you did. Not to get spammed to oblivion by the seller. You aren't supposed to send emails, unless someone has agreed to your mailing list and contact these days.

Could work with a freebie, but just make sure to get their consent that they agree to be a part of your list.

The return on that is terrible unless you have some ideas to get them to act.

Just a card with a discount offer would not do it for me, and I buy from Etsy occasionally.

Do you know why it's terrible? Because that's another account using ChatGPT for their replies If you check his other replies except for the "need discount" ones you can see that all of them are made by AI, ending with a question just as AI does.

I'm not really sure if that's against the rules though, but I thought you can check for yourself in case that's something you guys don't want on here.

Creating of freebie to attract them is a Great idea but even without them puchase your product you can collect there list just when they visit your website with the strategy of implementing and integrate List capture pop-up form to your Etsy home page....

I am going to try with a freebie i think that would work since i only sell digital products on my Etsy store
