seems high risk so i think should keep it as is and leave it for a few days before trying again, for now i will use another account

hope it will be ok. every time i encounter this situation it is honestly very annoying

This usually happens due to account holds, verification issues, or Facebook detecting unusual activity. Contact Facebook Support to resolve it—there’s no fix from your side if payment methods are blocked.
 
try paying twice, pay with even number first then pay with odd number, if still not work you need to contact meta support for help
 
Contact FB support or your bank but make sure to do basic troubleshooting steps first like clearing history and cache.

Some accounts cannot pay the current threshold amount and cannot add another payment method. This is common in BM 1 or 3 BMs that are in normal status but have restricted accounts.

If that’s the case, I think you should be prepared to set up another account, because accounts flagged for unusual activity these days have a very low chance of being restored
