Engagement te on acc

So I started with instagram 2 months ago. My plan is and will be to manually follow/like/unfollow until it becomes hard to do it. So far, my account has 7k followers with 2.4k - 2.8k likes per photo. I know that maybe to some of you guys this might sound low, but I think it's pretty good for manually doing it and getting a good ratio of engagement and followers when I post HQ content on it.

My question would be: Should I start monetizing it by shoutouts or putting a link in the BIO (I was thinking a lot about this since I've read a lot of threads where people get their accounts banned really fast after putting links in the BIO).

Any comment is really appreciated, wheter helpful or not. Cheers fellas

Your engagement is quite good. Since you're doing it manually I wouldn't risk it to put a link in the bio. Shoutout is safe, but that's just my opinion. You have something very good going for you!

I have a 7.8k animal niche account (animal_county) and i'm getting $$ by doing shoutouts. (+/- 5$/week)
I'm using the link to bring people to my facebook page. When i grow bigger i will start using the links for selling shirts, mugs, etc.. from a site like Teespring.
But for now, under 20k followers isnt worth the link
