End of Britain?

I believe the EOTP(end of that page) will happen before the end of Britain.

Lmao, I thought they were trying to sell something but too tired to actually look at it properly... haha

Britain started loosing something?
cheers

Dam I do hate David Cameron wasn't his whole speech to get elected about bringing down the debt? Not make it 700bn more... and god I would just love to punch that George Osborne.... haha

Our debts are 9 times what the country is worth... dam that's crazy. Tell you what though, they are right they would never put this on the news online or the TV!

Very interested and en lighting thank you!

Edit: Haha when I first looked at it I thought they were selling something to

The graph showing total debt as a percentage of GDP was pulled from the furthest reaches of their asses, as I'm sure the rest of the numbers in that article were as well. Also, UK's credit outlook is rated as AAA by S&P, which means "has extremely strong capacity to meet its financial commitments".

Europe in general is in decline since about 20-30 years.. its not apocalyptic, but lets face it, its not gonna get any better, just slowly worse (less welfare, longer/tougher working conditions, etc). Anyone who says the opposite is just either blinded by patriotism or naive to believe what he hears on the media... just my 2 cents...

S&P is a joke... They rated a lot of American home loans as AAA.

There are plenty of other countries in much worse financial condition.

GiogioB mentioned about the decline of Europe. Even I have the same belief. Although the decline is slow, but the situation is such that governments can hardly do much. Last year, plenty of European surprised the world after announcing bankruptcy, God knows how many countries will announce by the end of this year. But, you need to also remember that this is a global phenomenon. Many mighty civilizations have fallen to their knees, so rather than living in a surreal world, we ought to accept the reality and live with it.

That's one hell of a sales letter if you asked me.

for sure.. i mean see the chaos that followed when Greece, Portugal and Ireland said there was no more money in the accounts.. can you imagine what is going to happen when its France, Germany, Britain ..? And that's where we are heading. I think they should make it extremely easier to open companies for small/young entrepreneurs.. if you ask me, that is the only thing that can soften the fall.... we have thousands of graduates on the job market looking to work, but no jobs for them.

I feel for them.. I was there, i remember about 5-6 years ago, everyone was telling me that I must get a masters degree, or else I won't find a good job.. I and most of people in my situation interpreted that as "get a masters degree and you will for sure get a great job".. uuhh, couldn't be more wrong.

Finally I moved to the Far East where I incorporated a company in Hong Kong, I had to fill in about 2-3 pages of information, pay around 200-300 GBP and 2 weeks later I received my business licence. In France, opening a company takes minimum 6 months... and once you get it running, the government eats up all your profit as "tax".. yeah, way to recover from a global crisis. In Hong Kong I pay 0 tax since its a offshore company, not buying/selling anything from there. For me, this structural/bureaucratic problem in Europe is where the economy is sucking balls...

Not all of Europe is bad when it comes to taxes,in many countries you can have 0% income tax depending on how you make your money.

Both Ireland and the UK do not tax gambling winnings, Bulgaria doesn't tax profits earned from the selling of shares on any EU/EEA exchange,

Take note what GiorgioB says, I agree what he says. I moved from Asia back to Spain in Oct 2012, to get some eye problems fixed (which I am still saving money for)

So I have first hand experience of the NEW Europe and it is not pretty, in fact apart from the great weather which by the way suits me just fine and makes me happy.

The whole of Europe is basically f**ked like in Spain where 30% of men are unemployed, debt is everywhere, the banks rip you off when charging for paying essential services like water and electric.

Early July now and I live in tourist area no people - no cars - no money - no business...

Plus here is the kicker it is at least 2 times more expensive to live in Europe as Asia - maybe 3x more...

For me as soon as my health issues are sorted out, it will be back to HK - Macau...

Yeah Ratings! If I remember correctly (sarcasm) most of the Chronic House Debts of US were rated by the same agencies before the US housing bubble went bust.

IMHO the next First World is probably going to be in Asia (India, China, etc). Last time I was in Europe the decline wasnt too hard to predict. Just the fact that the shops were open 3-4 hours a day is saying something about the upcoming crisis.

Statistics and reality are two different things. I still remember those people who said the world will end in December 2012.

The government can boost economic growth if they will provide support to local businesses and industry in Britain. Create policies to attract more investors and encourage entrepreneurs in the region.

Seriously, on this topic I'm going to hold onto my 2 cents in hand...

... they are going to be like 100k $$$ soon, and buy me a year's supplies from the East across the Atlantic.

P.S.:

If they are able to bring back their money out of the sink, I'll be a lot more happier, being its all-weather friend. :)
