EMD vs. Aged Domain?

If you had to chose today, would you go for an EMD and register a new domain (.com/.net/.org) or you would go for an aged domain belonging to same category or an aged domain with EMD+word.
Which option would give best results?

Aged with some backlinks and no penalties.

I haven't registered any EMDs in a while but word on the street is that they don't have as much ranking power as they used to.

I have had success with both.

If you are able to build quality backlinks (not spammy IM links) to an EMD then it will work.

If not then an aged domain that used to be authoritative and has some good links pointing to it will also rank if you put some decent content on there and perhaps build a few more links.

I would use a new EMD for your money site and old aged domains as feeder blogs on different IP. This way you have advantage of emd and aged authority link to your site.

For aged domain which factor should be give more importance, PAGE AUTHORITY or DOMAIN AUTHORITY?

you need to look at everything.

Yuo should check how many referring domains there are in majestic seo

It's important to consider the trust as well, you should check it was never picked up by a spammer (or even your typical IMer).

A site that has or passes trust is very useful.

Why would you use different IP for aged domain?

What would happen if I register both new EMD and Aged relevant Domain and then I make monry site on Aged domain while put URL forwarding on EMD pointing to my Aged domain?
Would this practice improve my site ranking?

In many cases, Google will discount any links between sites held on the same hosting. You sometimes get away with it if it looks like the links are between sites on big hosting, ie a site looks like a client account on reseller hosting.
