Hello guys,
I am wondering if there is any difference in serp ranking when you are choosing emd domains and putting "-" inside.
For example: babycare.com ; baby-care.com
Since I am trying to make google be my friend is it better to rank without "-" inside domain name? For some purpose I have noticed webmasters rather choose emd without "-" mark and only if that emd is already taken they reluctantly choose the one with "-" inside. Why is that? I couldn't find anything relative to this on the net.

Moral of the story? Use the search function ;) It will save you time and effort

only if mydomain.com/.net/org are not available,,go for my-domain.com, what no 1 talks about is though - is a stop word, its counted as character. and my-domain.com will have 1 extra character as compared to mydomain.com. rest is obvious.

E-M-D's don't receive the same SEO boost that EMD's do (without hyphens).

But both can rank over time, with backlinks. The ones with hyphens just take more time. Same goes for EMDs with stop words.
