Hi,

I'm on a job search right now (USA, full stack developer) and have learned a lot about what works:

  • Emailing people at the company asking to be referred to the hiring person has resulted in way more interviews compared to applying.
  • But there's a catch. When I email say three contacts, I get a lot of referrals and it pumps my number of interviews that much more. But I also get a fair amount of spam notices from the email server.
  • I could email only one contact per company to avoid the spam issue. But then my response is also cut to about 1/3 (less chance of being referred by any one person).
  • My current workaround has been to email from 5 different gmail accounts. It's been okay so far since any one account only sends maybe 30 to 50 emails per day. But I think eventually these gmails will stopped delivering into inboxes, due to spam complains.

Is this the best way to do it or is there a better way? Thank you

Follow email content protocols ( Unsub link , remove spam words , keep content simple ). You cannot really avoid spam complaints simply jump from one google gmail account to another. You can buy bulk gmail acounts from marketplace which will help you to rotate them for sending emails.

Good luck.
