Thanks for the heads up! Would be great if there is any desktop notification modules coming up :)

+1 for Desktop notification. And Is there any possibilities for a mobile App for Android and iOS. I think, this can be a good suggestion to @Diamond Damien.

Personally i liked the pm preview feature in notification emails, but i guess there's a reason to discontinue this.

"As per Facebook, Linkedin and most other platforms - We have done this to improve forum engagement and deliverability of messages - due to the nature of the topics discussed on BHW we constantly struggle to deliver messages/notifications where content gets caught up in spam traps. This should allow all members to receive notifications and then log onto BHW to review at a time suitable to them."

It's become industry standard for many reasons including those mentioned above.
 
Since first day I participated this site,couldn't get any help so I don't mind about it at all ))
