Sounds like the next addition is a desktop / mobile notification system.

Do you have any plans to offer any further notification settings?

Desktop notifications, Sound etc.

Currently the only way I can tell is via email, which doesn't always work.

I second that, desktop notifications would be awesome.

Notifications are the only thing that keep me from killing myself. Damien... you can't do this.

This is a good move IMO.

I had to turn off notifications because BHW was flagged on my mail server for some reason after the move to Xenforo, then the mail would bounce and Xenforo would block my account randomly.

Every now and then I had to reset my password cuz mail bounced and BHW wanted to confirm my email again.

So I guess this kills the crab.

It's not random @bartosimpsonio if the BHW mail server notices that you're not receiving mail then it stops sending and marks your BHW account as inactive therefore not sending out mail until you provide a working email address. We recommend staying away from the AOL group of mail providers and yahoo for obvious reasons.
The best way around this is to whitlelist the domain BlackHatWorld.com at your mail server.

@Diamond Damien is there any plans to implement platform like Tapatalk? At least there are push notifications for those who use and read this forum from their smart phones?

Also they have some Custom Branding APP for forums.

Hi @Pipelin we took the dynamic site route rather than using third party apps like Tapatalk which in our experience were not great - however please feel free to start a fresh thread in the feedback section with a public vote to see if there is demand for your idea.

Thank you. It's a namecheap email server, not AOL or Y!.

BHW emails are whitelisted. I do get BHW updates....but for some reason there's a higher than usual bounce rate and Xenforo thinks my email isn't valid any more and I must revalidate.

Maybe xenforo sends some stopwords on its emails that trips Namecheap's antispam which VB didn't. So I turned off all email notifications, since I get notifications on the Alerts tab here anyway.

That seems fine, but what made the community to take this decision? I feel quite nice seeing my PM in email or any reply posted to my wtched thread ,and sort my actions accordingly.

I don't think there is any issue with the current scenario, is there Damien?

I am just telling my opinion, looking forward to know what others say.
