Hey guys! I'm new to this forum here and after about 2 hours of browsing here and there, I decided to settle down on email marketing and do some research on. It seems like a nice way to start internet marketing, correct me if I'm wrong here. I've done about 3-4 hours of research on squeeze pages and collecting an email list, then it occurred to me that I still do not know how to monetize my subscribers. After some thinking, you probably try to sell your subscriber something that is related with the original free item they got on the squeeze page? What are some examples that I could promote? Do I use affiliate programs? ClickBank?

3-4 hours of research is not enough. You should spend alot of time on email marketing. You will probably solve your questions at own.

While you have already done your homework it is now time to take action and start getting real subscribers into your database. In the meantime while new subscribers pop in into your inbox you can think of what to sell to them.

Email Marketing, is not as easy as it seems to be. It involves a lot of in depth knowledge.
Ever after 5 years of experience, i consider myself to be learning it daily.

My opinion is this... You are a marketer. Not an It guru. Leave the server side of it to companies who do it for a living. Aweber, mailchimp to name a few. You should focus on three things. First getting leads. Second nurturing a relationship. Third how to sell to them without really selling to them. I recommend Andre chaperons ARM course for the second and third part. Go get em.

Yes, affiliate programs (clickbank included) are fine for monetizing a mailing list. It's very important to remember that affiliate programs aren't limited to those that are offered within a network.

For example, many of the programs listed on Clickbank have their own independent affiliate program. You can often find them somewhere on their website (search for "affiliate" on the page). With that in mind, try to think of popular products and services related to the niche that your list falls under and market those to your subscribers. It's much easier to score conversions for products that they already know, so just because it isn't on Clickbank doesn't mean it's off the table.

One more thing. If you ever encounter a great product or service that doesn't have an affiliate program already, consider reaching out to the owner of that business and offer to create one for them. There's plenty of good software on the internet that handles that very well (idevaffiliate, post affiliate pro, etc). Consider their profit margins and make them an offer that works for the both of you, I've found that some of my most profitable affiliate campaigns are the ones I helped to establish with local businesses.

Inboxing is the hardest part on emailing.You should get a good smtp server, auto responder service, good content, GOOD LIST.

There are many software and companies that can be easily found over the internet.
